Christmas has come and gone, but we are still celebrating. Jeremy and I were able to go to his sister, Laurie's home for Christmas. We were joined by Laurie and Micheal, Elizabeth and Joe(niece and boyfriend) Joe and Angie, Mikey, Alyssa, Deb, and Jen (brother and family). We had a great meal, as always prepared by Micheal. Enjoy the pictures!!!

What Elizabeth is holding is a hand carved chickadee her dad Micheal made. It was amazing. The details are amazing!! It looks real!!! What an awesome gift.
So, as a gift for the girls, Elizabeth got them something Jen told Santa to bring her!!! Her reaction is priceless.(Jen is in the red dress). Sorry about the quality, it is not the best..

We have one more Christmas celebration to do with my mom on New Years Day. Pictures will be coming aftet that day! Hope you had a Merry Christmas and got to spend time your loved one!!!!!

Tag.....

Because I must be one of the four people that reads Aimee's blog, I thought I better do this. Here are the rules.
1) Choose the 5th folder where you store your pictures on your computer.
2) Select the 5th picture in the folder.
3) Explain the picture.

This is a picture of the bear at Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls. We were there on a field trip for school. You can even see my reflection in the glass.

Rules for the next:

1) Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer.

2) Select the 4th picture in the folder.

3) Explain the picture.

This is Jeremy's sister, Laurie's cat.....and for the life of me I can't remember her name. She is one of the fattest cats I have ever seen!!!! What is amazing about this cat, is that she will stand on the edge of the couch and jump up to this spot. The couch is about 5 feet from the shelf and about 5 feet high.....she has no problem getting up there!!!! I am not a cat person, but she is a cutie!!!!!

Apparently, my pictures are not that exciting....sorry about this boring post!! More to come about my cooking/baking fun times!!!!

Merry Christmas!!!Enjoy the holiday!!!

My TEN Things!!

Ten things I love:
1. Holiday Baking....I started today and was so excited. 4 dozen Peanut Butter Bloosoms and Peanut Butter Brownie with Chocolate Frosting

2. My Family
3. The smiles and hugs I recieve everyday at school.
4. The change children have after a few months of school. I teach 4 and 5 year old, and almost all of my children can write their names, name at least 10 letters and their sounds. Those accomplishments mean so much too me!!!!
5. Christmas tree smell!!! Fresh pine is great!!
6. Fiesta Lime Chicken from Applebee's

7. Babies!!! I love the smell of new babies.....I love my nephew...he is my Lil' Buckaroo!!!
8. The beach

9. My wonderful friends---Aimee, Minda, Jodi, Jen, Liz, Julie, Andy & Stacey, Amy and a whole bunch more!!!

10. My WONDERFUL HUSBAND!!! Without him, I don't know where I would be today. He is my rock, my shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen. He gives me strength, courage and hope. The last thing Jeremy tells me at night is "I love you, sweetie". The first thing he says in the morning: "Good morning, love". I can't believe that God gave me someone so sweet and generous. I can complain, but deep down he loves me for me!!!

Tomorrow, I will shed light on the 10 things I hate!!!

It has been FOREVER!!!

Okay, I know that this post is long in coming.....I am sorry, Aimee!!!!!

We have a couple of crazy weeks here in Newlywed Land!!!

First of all, in October a bunch of friends got together to surprise Aimee and throw her a "Congrats, you are ENGAGED!!!!" Silly me, I didn't bring out my camera for the event. Take my word for it, we all had a great time! Aimee was totally surprised and I actually kept a secret for a very long time!!
A week or so I got a card in the mail from Aimee saying that my present was in the mail coming soon. I got it!!!! And was so excited that it contained this:

A new purse from my favorite new online store (thanks, Aimee)!!
The website is http://www.primopurses.com/ and I go there now on a regular basis!!! It is super cute and is big enough to hold all the things I need and YET lost things(like my phone). I guess I could be more organized, but who has time for that!!!

Jeremy is out in the woods, trying to get this:

It has not been successful yet. I will let you know if it is!!

Today was the craziest day at school. We had our Thanksgiving Lunch and we fed 88 people. 38 adults in small roooms, on small chairs, eating at small tables is quite a sight to see. Because of picture taking policies, I cant post any pictures of the children, but it was fun!!!

My brother Jacob is going to be taking our Christmas pictures on Thursday; hopefully we will get some good ones!!!

Alright, I am off to bed.....Have a great Thanksgiving!!! Travel Safely!!!

Happy Birthday to Aimee Jo!!!

I just want to take this opportunity to wish a very special person "Happy Birthday"

Aimee Jo Hassafass Boobs McGee!!! (I think I got them all)

Last year at Aimee's Birthday Party

Aimee and I in 2006? at my house!!!

At a scrapbooking weekendAimee acting.....surprised??!!?!

Aimee has helped me through many situations in the last six years. People sometimes ask we if are sisters. I wish I was able to say "yes". She is the closest person to a sister I have ever had. It is hard to believe that our somophore year of college we lived 3 doors down in Grimm Hall and never really got to know each other. Then the next year, we had a class together and ended up sitting by each other. I remember on the day after her 21st birthday, she wasn't in class(anybody know why??). I told the professor that the night before was her 21st birthday and all he said was"Ahhhh"..... Then we ended up roommates the following year in Sheridan 2B. It was a great year and a half. Aimee has became my best friend.

After we graduated we went our seperate directions, her to Minnestoa, me to Wisconsin(the good state). We have probably talked 1,000,000 minutes on the phone and sent countless hours talking on the computer. Aimee has listened to me rabble, let me cry on her shoulder, and given me hours of advice with soooo many issues. I don't know what I am done without her. When I got engaged, it a no-brainer that she would stand next to me as I got married.

And now, as Aimee is planning for her special day, I am very excited. She is going to be a beautiful bride and a wonderful wife. So, Happy Birthday, Aimee!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!! Love, Cara

UGHHGHH.....

Let me start this post by saying I am not trying to complain, but it might start to sound like that!! Remember, I warned you!!

Today, I had a dentist appointment to have my wisdom tooth taken out. Yep, you read right: just tooth. I was warned by a parent at school that it was worse than child birth. At this rate, babies are going to be a breeze:) It wasn't that bad. I actually didn't know it was out; he started to raise the chair and asking me if I wanted to keep the tooth(heck no). Then I realized that he was all done. It took less than an hour!

So, I am lazying around on the couch and trying to sleep.

I started hearing sounds outside.

Then I remembered: This

There goes the sleep. The Blue Angels are in Eau Claire doing their air show on Saturday and Sunday. Practicing right now....so loud. I won't be sleeping during the practice. Good thing we are leaving on Sunday. We will have to find something to do on Saturday as well!!!!

See I told this might sound like complaining!!

Dear Aimee and Jim,

To the Newly Engaged Couple!!!!

I am so happy for you both!!! I know that this is an exciting time for you. A few tips for you, Jim

1.) Aimee has had this day planned for many years. We used to joke that all she needed to do was "Insert Groom"...guess what? It's you!!!

2.) Your two favorite words for the next 50 years.... "Yes, Dear" (Be careful when using those words though)

3.) Journal readings may become a nightly ritual.

4.) Cherish every moment you spend with her. She is an amazing woman. Be an ear to listen, and a shoulder to cry on. Just cherish her for being her!!!

A few pointers for Aimee:

1.) When he puts on the "wonderful" green shirt, just smile. When he cuts an expensive tie, just smile:)

2.) Every once and a while, let him think he is the king of the castle, but really know you are the queen.

3.) Every once and a while, give him a massage when he doesn't ask for it. Especially if you know he had a long day.
4.) Cherish every moment with him. He is a great guy.

Aimee and Jim......I am so happy for you. You are an amazing couple...
All my Love, Cara

Party, party, Party

Yesterday was a Party Day!!! First we took off to celebrate Madeline's 7th Birthday. I met Maddy and Minda when Maddy was just 7months old. I can't believe that she is 7 already. She is growing up so quickly and getting into the "I have nothing to wear" Stage. She got a lot of nice clothes for her "Hannah Montana" birthday party.

Happy Birthday, Madeline!!! We love you!!

Excited to open presents

You can't tell from this picture, but Jason is under all of this wrapping paper. Madeline and her guests thought it would be funny to cover Jason.

Ahhh...The Memories

On Wednesday, Jeremy and I went to the Northern WI State Fair. It is held in Chippewa Falls. We mainly went for two reasons:
1. The Cheese Curds---you can't go to a fair and not have cheese curds

2. The Memories Reunion Concert

“The Memories” began their professional musical career in Boyceville, Wisconsin in 1972. High School Classmates, Tim Stevens, Warren Petryk and John Lynch appeared at the local Cucumber Festival dance under the name of “The Pickle Dillies”. For the next 16 years, the three “boys from Boyceville” performed across the country at fairs and festivals, concerts, night clubs, conventions and other special events. In May 1988, John retired from the group to pursue other career interests.
On July 9th, John returns to the stage to perform a special reunion concert with Tim and Warren.
After John’s departure in 1988, Tim and Warren continued to perform full time until 1995 with various band members…and today still entertain audiences with a “part-time” schedule of 25-30 shows/concerts per year.
Stevens said, “Performing at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair again with John on stage with us will be a very special night. The fair was an important part of our young performance career…and gave us a big boost. We were honored to be “Goodwill Ambassadors” of the 1979 NWSF and had the chance to do several shows during the whole week of the fair…opening each Grandstand concert…as well as singing at the free stages during the day. It was at the fair that year that we made a connection with Harry “Hap” Peebles whose Hap Peebles Booking Agency was country music's largest and best-known talent supplier. Hap showcased us at several Midwestern fair conventions the winter of 1979/1980, and the next thing we knew we were singing at fairs and festivals all across the country. We have always credited the NWSF…especially current manager Pinky Lee and then manager, Don Frenette with playing a big part of our success.”
The Memories built a reputation with their trademark - “MUSIC, LAUGHTER AND WONDERFUL TIMES!” Through the years, they showcased 3-part harmony as their focus….performing songs of many popular vocal groups – The Statler Brothers, The Gatlin Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, Alabama, The Mills Bothers and more. They also made an effort to make sure their performances were always fun – including comedy and novelty songs as part of their repertoire.
Stevens added, “we hope to put a show together that will bring back some special memories for family, friends and fans that supported us so faithfully during those years….and still do so today!”

The sad thing is that we were probably the youngest people in the crowd!!! We had a good time listening to the music and calling my mom and having her listen to the music. I grew up going to the St. Croix County Fair and listening to Tim Stevens and Warren Petryck playing great songs and their "Ole and Elmer" gig.

This post is really for my mom, who wasn't able to come down for it, even though I know she would have loved it. Luckily for her, I am a good daughter and bought her a CD.(It might be hard to give it away though; I rocked out to it in the car!!!)

EDIT: pictures to come....the computer is being difficult!
