Random Post

Ohh, glorious Sunday.....what a better day than to do a random post. There is a lot of nothing going on this weeknd. We did meet up with my mom and brother on Saturday to go shopping, eating and spending time together. I do not recommend to anyone ordering Shamrocks shakes at McDonalds at the drive thru!! I gave our order twice and they still didn't get it right, and then the most disappointing thing: it tasted just like vanilla, with green food coloring!! Soooo disappointing!!!!

On Sunday, we went to church, lunch at Subway, and a couple hours of relaxing before we head to the casino with Jeremy's work. Maybe we will win big!! Any win would be good!!

Here are some random pictures to go with the random post!!

This concludes the randomness for this post!!! I will update if we win big:)

2 Years

Today, 2 years ago, my dad passed away. It was one the of saddest days of my life. I will never forgot that day. It has been an emotional day for me. I tried to stay calm and relaxed today, but sometimes I would get a memory. Going fishing, watching his Vietnam vidoes, playing "PIG" on the basketball court, practicing softball skills. I know people to treasure the memories and remember the good times. I do, but honestly it still sucks. I wanted my dad to walk me down the aisle when I got married. I think he would have been proud. I wanted him to meet his grandchild, who is such a cutie. I wanted him to be proud of his youngest son, who is achieving so much in the first year of high school. I want him to be around to help my mom.
I WANT HIM BACK!!!
If I could have one more day with him, it would mean the world to me. Two years ago changed my life and the course of many others. Everyone has had to step up and help with some aspect of being without a dad. I am soooo grateful to have such wonderful brothers. They have always been there for me, and continue to do so. I also have a wonderful husband, who will let me cry on his shoulder, snot on his sleeve, and just truly hold me and comfort me. I will grateful to them forever.
Sometimes I will still say "mom and dad", or think to myself "oh, I should call dad to ask him this question". I still have not just put "Mom" in the cell phone. I can't bear to erase the word "Dad". I know he is always with me. I never believed in spirits, or things like that, but lately I will be driving and my hair will stand up. I believe that somehow, maybe, he is there with me. I have needed my dad sooooo many times in the last two years, it sucks that he can't be here. I want my children to know him, and they never will. Sure, I can tell them about him, but it will never be the same. I hope that I will be a good enough mom to enhance my children's life with the memory of their Grandpa!!
I WILL remember the good times and laugh at the memories, but know in my heart it will never be the same without him here!!

I love you, Dad and miss you every single day.
Love,
Your only daughter, Cara

Scrapbook Weekend

Okay, so I know I haven't posted in a long time, but things have been super busy. Last weekend I went to my best friends house and we got to scrapbook all day on Saturday. It was super fun and we got a lot accomplished. Okay, maybe not......talking, shopping and take and makes kept our time going very quickly. We had a great time. I got about ten pages done of my wedding album. Aimee got her first vacation to Las Vegas almost done. I think that this should a yearly event!!!!

The most exciting thing about that weekend was thought I drove all the way to Aimee's. I don't like driving in big cities, but I did it. I did have to call Aimee a couple times, but I did it!!!!
